Cara-Bear

Both of which I have been short on lately, so my drawings have been a slow progress, but they're moving along. I've actually been wanting to buy a new (and higher quality) camera. It's true, I'm not much of a photographer; it seems most of the photos I take which turn out to be unique are almost like accidents. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy taking pictures...plus I have been needing a new camera anyway. I'm thinking Nikon...or something like that.
It's kind of late so my mind is running blank on what exactly it was that I came on here to write about. Nothing interesting going on in life right now, things are about the same which is not bad. I suppose I will leave at that...just a quick update with an apology and excuse as to why I haven't submitted any new work yet. I must be one of the worst DA's on here lol.
Anyway, hopw everyone is having a great May (can you believe it's almost 1/2 way over? WTF!? I don't remember time going by so fast when I was a kid).
Also, random comment, I thought this looked like a sperm and I was very confused....I need to go to sleep I think. Nighty night!

Wow! Haven't written here since January...whoops! Well not much has really changed, settling into the job and starting to transition from trainee to person-who-has-an-idea-what-they-are-doing (pretty catchy title right?). I'm totally loving it though and it has inspired me to start another set of drawings which I hope to start working on this weekend.
It will be a busy one though since it's my birthday weekend (yay!) Nothing wrong with a little self-promotion. I have the house to myself right now which will be good time to get started on those drawings (the fiance is out present shopping, aww). Meanwhile, I've been watching America's Funniest Videos and checking things out on here.

Actually, what drugs will do to your brain (like the old commercial where that chick smashes an egg with a frying pan), THAT'S my anti-drug; I just felt like being a smartass. I digress. So I still have to put up those two poems I found, but not tonight because my procrastination is acting up and I'm tired. I will get them put up one of these days, hopefully this week. That's what I'm shooting for at least.
I've been kind of pissed at myself today, earlier in the week I tried getting my old lap top to work with our internet and John suggested we completely wipeout the hard drive or memory or something (I don't know a whole lot about computers, obviously). I said, "Fine" and was bummed because that meant loosing all my iTunes music...because I didn't pay for any of it thanks to Lime Wire, DC++ (at Oregon State) and KaZaa back in the day; so my new iTunes won't accept any music that was not purchased from their store...which pretty much meant all but the dozen or more I bought when I had a gift card.
But whatever right? Why piss and moan when I can just download all of it again? Sure it's a pain, but fine. It didn't hit me until today that ALL of my pictures from my digital camera were gone when we cleaned out the computer memory as well. Sure, facebook and MySpace have some of them, but I lost A LOT of pictures...A LOT! I think I can still make that scrapbook of all the years in college, but it won't be the same. I am truly disappointed in myself; music can be replaced, but memories...well I can think back on them, but again it's not the same. Plus if I ever get Alzheimer's well then I'm just fucked. So on top of all that, now my lap top won't work at all...it keeps asking for a Windows XP code or IP address or some stupid crap that I should understand, but choose not to because I turn into an ape when technology acts up (e.g. hit, throw, kick, stomp, defenestrate...okay that was once and it was an old printer, BUT I had bought a new printer before doing said act) so yea, it's just best to have someone else solve my tech issues. So now I'm giving up and will be shelling out some cash to buy a Netbook, which will be best in the end.
As for the fate of my old '03 Dell lap top (yes, it is quite ancient); I'm donating it to my fiance so that he may strip it down for parts on some of his projects...the rest is trash or recycled.
Wow, this was long...I needed to vent obviously. I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to their year, I promise to get off my lazy ass and do everything I said I would do on here (including certain favors/promises to certain friend....uh DA related favors/promises, not sexual ones...just to be clear). Toodle-Loo!

Phew! Well things in life have finally settled down to a point where I can return to DA almost full time. I still need to get my own computer, but this will do for now. The boyfriend...or actually it is now fiance and I successfully moved in to our new apartment. And yes, after about 2 weeks of living together he proposed (12/20/09 for anyone truly interested). It was a great proposal and we have set the date of the wedding for September 17th 2011 (once again, for anyone interested in such details). Then there were the holidays and lastly the start of my new job (which is amazing and will open many doors for my future).
Now that it's all beginning to settle, I'm excited to be able to kick my feet back and relax awhile before wedding planning and what not takes ahold of my daily routine. Good news, however, during the move I discovered two old poems I wrote back in college for a class I took my Sophmore year. I will be adding those soon, but for now I must leave (the fiance and I are going to play Super Mario Bros on the Wii...so much fun! And he is getting impatient). I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, etc and New Year's (I don't say Happy Holidays, it's rude). And I wish nothing but the best for everyone going into the new year (and new decade).

I have finally completed my Penelope Pin-up (took a month basically lol I started her and then didn't like it and had to redo it). I have many more ideas for future deviations and once I gain enough confidence or find a contest I really like I plan to eventually submit a work. Of course I can't say for sure how long it will be before my next deviation will come out.
Recently my boyfriend and I have been looking for an apartment together and have finally found one we both love. We applied for it Monday and it will be a matter of a day or two (or even hours I hope) before we found out if we got the place. I'm confident that we will, I just hate waiting and the anticipation of it all. And if we do get it, the plan is to start moving in ASAP so it will be a very busy week, not to mention the bridal shower I have Sunday and two Bachelorette parties next weekend...December has turned out to be a very busy and expensive month...which has been good and not so good. I may have to cancel on the second bachelorette party...we'll see.
Anyways, that was all. So I hope you all like Penelope and I promise to have more deviations arriving, it just won't be anytime this week or even next week. Take care!!
